Have No Fear....Halliburton Is Here!

Is it just me, or has the Chickenhawk Brigade’s PR work become increasingly sloppy lately?

Case In Point: This Story. That’s right, ladies and gentlemen. They arrested Cindy Sheehan, symbolically dragging her away from the White House in handcuffs. I’m sure that won’t make her into a martyr.

Not that I’m complaining. Anything that gives the White House a black eye is alright by me. This just seems like a particularly clumsy faux pas on the part of the Administration. Who knows, maybe Turdblossom took this week off.

In other news...Halliburton has arrived in New Orleans.

That's right, ladies and gentlemen less than a month later, and the Gulf Coast Reconstruction efforts are firmly in the hands of Chickenhawk Corporate Cronies. From the New York Times:
More than 80 percent of the $1.5 billion in contracts signed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency alone were awarded without bidding or with limited competition, government records show, provoking concerns among auditors and government officials about the potential for favoritism or abuse.

Already, questions have been raised about the political connections of two major contractors - the Shaw Group and Kellogg, Brown & Root, a subsidiary of Halliburton - that have been represented by the lobbyist Joe M. Allbaugh, President Bush's former campaign manager and a former leader of FEMA.

Get ready for a Corporate Interest Porkfest of monumental proportions. Tragedy has struck...now lets make some money off of it.

It's the Chickenhawk Motto.

P.S. By the way...Dubya is still a drunkard.
